The essence of Earth to Plate — Michael, Marco & Massimo the Truffle Brothers - are involved every step of the way. From foraging in the Appenino Mountains to hand delivering the freshest truffles to some of the nation’s most renowned culinary institutions, Truffle Brothers is the closest you will get to truffle hunting on this side of the Pacific.

Only using the finest of oils for blending, all product development is done in their own lab facility at their plant in San Palo Matese, to the highest quality assurance standards.

Our Story

Some people grow up around sports, academics or the arts. For Michael, Marco, Massimo and Dana, four siblings from Campobasso, Italy, their upbringing was around truffles. As children, their grandfather showed them how to forage for the elusive tuber in the Appenino mountains throughout Molise, Italy.

Fascinated by the world of truffles, they eventually bought and trained their own truffle hunting dogs. They learned the art of selling by observing the tactics of local roaming vendors selling truffles, cheeses and meats from their trucks— as early as their teenage years the group selling truffles to pizza parties and decadent first dates.  

Dana and Massimo took the lead to spearhead operations at the family plant in Molise, while Michael and Marco began their adventure in truffle exports in Germany and Italy, expanding to other European countries and eventually bringing the operation to the United States. When the siblings started importing their region’s famous white Molise truffles nearly two decades ago, it didn’t take long for the pair to gain their nickname “The Truffle Brothers.” 

With the help of their eighteen dogs, siblings, mother, and an extended family of foragers that continue to live full-time in Molise, Italy, Dana the Truffle Brothers now supply restaurants in the Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami, New York, and Dallas markets (to name a few) with a steady supply of Italian tartufo.
